Today is
Free Comic Book Day and I can't think a better way to celebrate (other than visiting your local comic shop) than to give M.A.S.K. fan's a brand new comic! However, this book you won't find at your local shop. Author and artist Kero Wack has been teasing fans recently on several Facebook groups with images from his "labor of love" project. Now, I'm happy to share with the fan community his completed first issue of
M.A.S.K. 85!
The great part about this new comic is Kero Wack is making this free to every M.A.S.K. fan. In the M.A.S.K. Toy Collectors Facebook group, he says:
I worked on it in between being a father, full time art teacher and husband. Overall I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I know that putting yourself out there leaves one open to criticism and stuff like that, but this was a labor of love. I am sharing this story for free with every M.A.S.K. collector I can. Why? Because the world needs more M.A.S.K.!
I'm very grateful for fans like Kero Wack others who continue to breathe new like into the M.A.S.K. franchise. I very much enjoyed the colorful artwork and new spin on the origin of the team. While being a new story, it still feels it takes place the same universe fan's are accustomed to in the animated series and '80s comic book releases.
