The next episode we'll be talking about on MASKast will be #30 "The Lost Riches Of Rio." The plot consists of V.E.N.O.M. stealing a seemingly worthless painting in Rio De Janeiro but M.A.S.K. learns it actually contains a secret map to lost Nazi treasure. This episode features some awesome looking animation and an even-sided matchup between the two factions.

This is one of my favourite episodes in the entire series. Still, I have some problems explaining why I like it so much. I think it has a lot to do with the animation. The animation in this episode is the best I’ve seen in the MASK-series. Some of the close-up-animation of the characters is really stunning. I also love the scenes with Rax and Vanessa. The dialogue makes me wonder if there’s something going on between them, especially when Vanessa says that she cooked something “especially for him”. The story-line is good as well, but not as “out of the ordinary” as in my other favourite episodes.
ReplyDeleteone of the best episodes and this episode features some pretty impressive animation for its time and the interaction between Rex and Vanessa is fun to watch but makes you think whats going between them
