One of my favorite MASK episodes of all time, if not my very favorite! Gorgeous animation, great action, and high drama. The only things that can drag it down for me a bit are Dusty and Buddy's "corny" puns, and the way Dagger's vehicle vaporizes when Matt blasts it, leaving only the steering wheel and part of the chassis. I still gave it a solid 5 though.
ReplyDeleteAnd does T-Bob really say "D-d-d-d-damn!" in the PSA at the end? I could swear he does.

Thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Thought the animation was great especially with Matt driving through the reflecting skyscraper. I like how in the middle, Sato briefly looked like he spent some time at the tanning salon for a bit and shortly thereafter, one of the buildings Buddy passes suddenly changes color. However, I gave it a four for too much reliance on humor outside of T-Bob swearing towards the end.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great episode! I really enjoy the scene when Matt shows Dwayne Kennedy how he can make it look like his coffee cup has disappeared. I remember it very well from my childhood. What I think is the best scene when watching it today is however the scene with Mayhem and Vanessa in The World Trade Center. Mayhem has a great comment: "I would have blown the statue up anyhow, just so they would know who they`re dealing with."
