M.A.S.K. Revolution #1 Comic Is Now Available

M.A.S.K. has officially returned to comic book shelves after nearly 30 years! Today marks the beginning of a modern version of the secret raiders led by Matt Trakker. Written by Brandon Easton and brought to life by artists Tony Vargas and Tommy Lee Edwards, IDW Publishing's M.A.S.K. Revolution #1 is now available in local comic shops and online digitally.

The first book in the new M.A.S.K. world features three variant covers and contains the origin of the new M.A.S.K. team. The official synopsis:

The origin of M.A.S.K.! Miles Mayhem’s decades long plans are finally coming to fruition, but will the revealed secrets he has hidden from Matt Trakker create a new enemy bent on Mayhem’s undoing? A special story tying directly into REVOLUTION!

As noted, M.A.S.K.'s origin fits in with the new Revolution series, but will continue beyond that realm, battling V.E.N.O.M. in a new exclusive series beginning this November. Even if you don't plan to get into the Revolution series, M.A.S.K. Revolution #1 will give you the back story to setup the upcoming solo series so we encourage fans to check it out. We will be releasing our reviews of the new comic very soon and hope to also release a MASKast Chat podcast to further breakdown the comic including reviews from our friends and followers. So far, the early online reviews have been positive. Outright Geekery rates it a 8/10 so that's a good sign!
